Title: Maybe We Won't
Author: Melissa Foster
Genre: Contemporary Romance
I’m a little peeved I didn’t go back to buy book 1 and 2 This was a fantastic book. You can rely the author's synopsis in the first few chapters to catch up on the prior books, but it would be fun to read them.
The family aspect is so strong and endearing. The sisters are similar in a lot of ways. The differences are sort of big, one being involved in the Bistro (Abby), cooking and serving up great food and the other a lawyer (Deidra). Cait has a story behind her character that is worth looking at book 1 and 2. In fact they all do. It can be standalone but I would read all three.
In between hanging out with the all around hippie hottie Jagger, Deidre deals with her issues. One is the loss of her mother. She learns that Jagger was close with her mother, this aspect comes into play in a big way.
When you are dealing with the loss, hurt and anger of a loved one's death the author brilliantly uses Jagger to lighten the load. In addition to Jagger's suaveness the chain of gossip is a hoot! The people, shall I say women, of Silver Island have enough time to start the funniest rumor text chain ever. This is pure comic relief. I honestly think this was the best part for me.
