Just Married by Kiersten Modglin @kmodglinauthor #review

When my husband found this perfect little cabin in the woods for our honeymoon, I couldn’t wait to get away. Just us in the middle of the forest, waking up every day in the trees, ending each night in the hot tub under the stars. But now I’m not sure that I know my husband at all…

I am psycho right now! I’m really just breathless over the ending!

This author consistently blows my mind. Grace and Ryan, newly married are six months in when Ryan surprises her with a honeymoon. Ryan's parents are wealthy but he stopped taking his monthly allowance when Grace told him they would be fine with finances. So it takes like 6 months to go away for a week alone. In the beginning the author makes Grace quiet, timid and anxious while Ryan is more assured. Ryan has confidence while he seemingly calms Grace.

They arrive at this splendid remote cabin. They will hike, wander around the small town and just enjoy the scenery. BUT then things happen. Here is the part where I was on edge. Grace asks herself "Can I trust my husband? "

To be honest I started about 4:30pm while I had supper in the oven and was engrossed almost immediately. The spin this book took from the halfway mark totally shocked me. I finished around 11pm and it has had a lasting effect. I did expect it to stay with me, because this brilliant young author has created a certain amount of horror with this story. Being scared was a slice of the pie. Personally I don't often have them but last night I had a running away dream and woke up at 4am scared.

My husband promised till death do us part. Am I about to find out what that means?
