The premise of the book was a good one. I really enjoyed the small town good friends and neighbor feelings. Ivy has a story, which is awful, that leads her to having PTSD. Her story, I wont speak of, but she gets a note that just makes her day. She continues this "note" writing. Someone who has had a bad day, opens their desk draw and sees a warm caring note to inspire. That is the theme.

You can not help but fall in love with Miles. He has been through a lot with his father. In the beginning he is very sick and then dies. So Miles is the character who needs an epiphany. Why work so hard in the big city when small town America is calling your name?

Overall the author has a style that I really liked. The character's both main and supporting bring it all together to leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling. Totally recommend this one!

Drea lives on the beautiful island of O‘ahu, Hawai‘i with her Sailor and 5 kids. She drinks a lot of coffee, reads a lot of books, and has a lot of tattoos. As a neurodivergent author, her dream characters and scenarios involve complex people, emotional wounds, normalizing nurturing those things that make us unique, and the magic of finding the person who sees all of you and still wants more.
